REALationships: A Mess Worth Making

Tommy Staggs   -

Relationships are hard! (“Duh. Tell me something I don’t know.”) As we grow older and increasingly experience the trauma of sin’s effects in our relationships, the natural response is to avoid the mess and settle for relationships that, well, … do less than challenge us. In fact, in a world where independence and comfort are fiercely-held idols, this avoidance can be used by the evil one to produce stagnation, individually and in the Body of Christ. When that happens, our relationships become places where sin is allowed to hide and the devil owns the church. The Bible and the Body of Christ are a challenge to settle for nothing less than supernatural and redemptive REALationships where truth and grace provide greater godliness and mission. It’s all about sticking with the mess so God can use us for His purposes. That’s what makes REALationships a mess worth making!
