Defy

In order for Jesus to faithfully carry out His mission of declaring the gospel and making salvation possible, He had to openly resist and refuse to obey worldly principles. His message was one of open defiance against the world’s structures, in ways that created opposition. Faithfulness to gospel mission requires some similar defiance from us.
