Our summer mission trip is for all students (rising 6th grade through graduated seniors). We will have a local missions focus this year and will be serving in our neighboring community of Knoxville, TN. (Because we want students to grasp that mission work doesn’t only happen in a foreign country, we rotate our mission trips between local and foreign locations.)
We are partnering with Christ In Youth (same organization that leads the Believe events, MOVE, and MIX) for our mission trip. We’ll spend the week serving with various organizations in the Knoxville area. The cost for students is $295 and will include their registration, meals, housing, mission supplies, and a ticket to Splash Country. Yep, that’s right, on the last day we’ll head to Splash Country for a fun ending to our week of hard work. We’re one of many groups registered for this week from all over the country with CIY, but one exciting note is that there will be many other students from Greeneville also participating in this event as multiple churches collaborated together with a plan to serve together on the same trip. So, it’s likely that students will know a few friends from their school who are also going with another church.
