While You Wait

Tommy Staggs   -

Have you ever waited on something and the anticipation was miserable?! Perhaps you’ve experienced waiting for…

the loan to be approved?
pregnancy test results?
the court to decide your fate?
whether you got the job, or maybe a promotion?
Mr. or Mrs. Right (or Good Enough?!) to magically appear?
a reply to a really important email?
an answer to a desperate prayer?
the pain to stop?

Do you ever feel like God is not active and you’re just sitting around waiting for Him to do something? What do you do while you’re waiting? Often, our default response is apathy and inactivity. But, in Scripture, the model we see in the lives of those who were waiting for God to send His Son is not one of sitting around like a loafer but is an active participation in what God is doing and an expectation of what God will do.
Show up! He has. He will. So can you.
