Social Media Workshop Links
As a part of the Faith that Sticks mini-conference on September 28, hosted by Youth In Ministry and First Christian Church (Johnson City), I presented workshop called “Hyper-Connected Students & Social Media”. I wanted to share some links a brief thoughts here as a reference and perhaps encourage your own additional research.
The anthropological perspective on social media has always fascinated me. So to lead a workshop of this nature was, in fact, quite fun as I was able to spend additional time reading and learning as I prepared. As is usually the case, I found much more information than I was able to present and thought that it would be helpful to provide some links for those whose interest was piqued.

The Digital Kids Initiative (connected with the Center for Parent/Youth Understanding (CPYU)) is led by CPYU President and Founder Dr. Walt Mueller. This resource contains SO MANY resources for parents I couldn’t possibly link them all! I recommend a through look through this website. In the workshop I referenced two specific resources from this site. Those links are listed below:

Family Digital Covenant of Conduct
Addiction: How is Facebook Addiction Affecting our Minds?
